Good Ole Redneck Hunting

On Friday night, Kameron went into his room to play. He had no sooner got to his bedroom when he came running out screaming "Theres a big bat in my room!" So, Kyle did what anyone else would do....he got the BB gun and him and the kids went hunting. This is a picture of the proud hunters and their prey!! Oh yeah, did I mention that this hunt took place in my house?

Our Family

I thought the best way to start our blog would be to brag a little about each member of our family. Just like our title...We may not have it all together but together we have it all!!

Kyle and Misty

*A better pic to come soon. In this photo we had been camping at Fishlake for a week. Also pictured, is our other son Landon (Kyler's best friend)
Kyle and I are High school sweethearts and have now been married for almost 15 years. We started our life in together in Clawson and moved to Castle Dale about 5 years ago. Our kids are FINALLY old enough that we get to spend alot more time together and totally love to date each other. Kyle has been a welder at Joy Mining for the past 11 years. He is happiest when he is in the mountains hunting, fishing, or camping. He likes to take his 3 hound dogs and go Raccoon hunting on the weekends and sometimes comes home smelling like a skunk.

I drive clients part time for 4 corners behavioral health. I work with an awesome bunch of people and I like that they are willing to let me kinda work around my family's schedules so that I can do the thing I love most which is being a wife and mom. I like to go camping and I like to scrapbook when I have time. I love to read any chance I get and can usually be seen toting a book around. (I think it makes Kyle crazy sometimes)

Together Kyle and I like to watch movies, we are suckers for reality TV, we like to sit on the porch at nite after the kids have gone to bed and catch up on the days events with each other. We also like to do anything outside with the kids and usually spend most evenings at one of the kids' sporting or dancing events or whatever else they are involved in. We live a simple life and love every minute of it.

Kyler Wade Farley

Kyler will turn 13 in September and start Jr. High this fall. (I know I am too young to have a teenager). I am FREAKING out that he is going to Jr. High but I know he will do great. He likes to play basketball. He loves Baseball (he plays catcher and 3rd base) and has a big passion for golf. He usually manages talking Kyle into taking him to hit a round about twice a week. He like to fish and just took up fly fishing. He likes to hunt and shot his first deer last year with his muzzleloader (a 3x4) He likes to hang with his dad and would live at Landon's house if I would let him. He is probably our most compassionate but can be funny at times. He is the first grandchild on my side of the family and has Gramma Kim wrapped around his finger.

Kaytlyn Marlene Farley

Kaytlyn is our 2nd. She will be 11 in November. She is a red head and kinda tends to have a red-headed personality alot of the time. She likes to be praised and she likes lots of hugs. She is probably our most tender-hearted. She loves to dance and scrapbook and play school (I think mostly so she can boss the little kids) She is very girlie but can be a tomboy. She like to hunt and fish and gets really mad at Kyle when he doesn't let her tag along. She loves animals and LOVES bugs (GROSS!!) We always seem to have a jar in our house with some sort of bug in it. She plays hard and is our most accident prone. She had had stitches, been in the emergency room more than once when her elbow kept popping out, she has had road rash more times than I can count, she is always scratched or bruised, and has even had a 22 shell go off in her fingers.

Kameron Duane Farley

Kameron is 3rd in line and he will be 8 in September. He is our busy body. We call him Stink (yes, there is ALOT of reasons for it) He likes big trucks and has a HUGE passion for tractors. He wants to be a garbage man when he grows up. He will do anything to be the center of attention. He can be a handful and we tell everyone he acts like Robby (if you knew Robby when he was a kid, you will know what I am talking about) He likes to see how things work and has an answer for EVERYTHING!! For example, this is a discussion we had when his teacher wanted him to learn his address:
Kam: I will just tell Miss Sandra and Miss Karla that I live on the corner in Castle Dale.
Mom: There are alot of corners in Castle Dale
Kam: I will tell them the corner by Grandma Farley, besides Miss Karla lives right behind us so she knows where I live.
Mom: What if someday you have to call 911 for the ambulance or police?
Kam: HELLO!! Bert (Robby) is a cop and Brandie works on the ambulance and I'm pretty sure they know where I live.
He is our funniest child. The others have to work a little bit to be funny but it comes very naturally to him. He does things on his own time and is VERY good at ignoring people when he doesn't want to deal with them.

Mikayla Kim Farley

Mikayla ia the baby of our family and just turned 6 in June. She is very girlie and loves anything princess. Sle loves barbies, polly pockets, and playing dolls. She loves make-up but will only play dress-up when Brynlee and Danika can beg her to do it. She has her daddy wrapped around her finger and thinks all it takes to get anything she wants is a hug and a few tears. I am ashamed to admit that alot of times it works!! She loves dancing but doesn't like to ply any sport. She doesn't want to stand out there and get tired and hot and bored and wait for the stupid ball to come to her!! (her words, not mine) She loves to go to Grandma Farley's house at least a half dozen times for popsicles.
